Description
This detailed hibiscus took many days and was a labour of love. The view from this perspective proved challenging and the intricate design of the flower was tedious but the movement and excitement it generated is tremendous.
“It was my intention to capture the real flower. Nature offers us a most full pallet. Lest we think that this hibicus really contains these colours, a dramatized version using almost every version of red mixable on my pallet. It was intended to be a personal painting, an exercise in creating drama through colour.” Sharon Fox-Mould.
