It Is a new beginning in a new environment with new challenges and I’m up for the task. The trees are turning and fall is definitely here, as a matter of fact it feels like winter to me. I’ve finally started painting again and am drawn to my old haunts, flowers.
Thankfully orchids are readily available and I’ve acquired a few phalaenopsis in a variety of colors. The new paintings are inspired by the white blooms which are so uplifting that one must paint them.
Tropical blooms add warmth to an ever cooling temperature and keep me grounded during this period of rapid change. The simple blue toned background adds to the healing nature of these flower paintings.
